Hurricane Fiona hit the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico causing serious damage in both countries. The people we serve in the DR have experienced many houses damaged and roofs removed. Many do not have clean water available, and all are without power.
Sowers of the Kingdom has opened the Mission House for local residents on the mountain to take shelter as needed. We are sending a disaster relief team down on Sept 27th including Bruce Pearson, John Kinney and veteran team members from New York and Florida. The team will assess the damage and begin the work of repairing structures and getting clean water available to the local residents.
We are working to raise funds to do these repairs as this will be a very significant expense.
